I had a B service on a C240 including changing the oil filter a few weeks ago and now the Fuel Pump is making a lot of noise before starting the engine. Is the service likely to have had an impact?

The dealer says the fuel pump will need to be changed.

no nothing on the b schedule that would cause or be related to fuel pump noise . james
