I have a 2000 Mercedes 230 Kompressor; key won''t turn the ignition to start; when I get out of the car, the buttons on the key won''t activate the alarm. What do I do? The car is stuck in a parking lot?

Already Tried:
wiggled the steering wheel back & forth while trying to turn the key; got out of the car and tried to test the alarm & door locking but the buttons on the key didn't activate anything on the car. It sits stuck in a parking lot.
